My Minimalist White Bowl

This bowl was designed and handmade by me, from a lump of sandy clay into a finished piece.  I carved the edges of the bowl so you can place a spoon on top of it.

I love the contrast between the inside of the bowl which is glazed & glossy and the outside which was left unglazed & natural.

There is only one of each design and it is thrown and trimmed on the potter's wheel, carefully carved painted, and glazed by me.

All of my work is made using stoneware clay and fired in an electric kiln to high degrees hit. It is watertight, strong and dishwasher/oven safe, though it is always my advice to treat handmade items carefully and wash them by hand if possible.
